The French Catholic Diaspora is the worldwide spiritual brother and sisterhood of those devoted to the Renaissance of Catholic Royal France. Our spirit is that of St. Mary Magdalene contemplating on the shores of Provence. Our guides are St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse of Lisieux.
Jesus Christ bequeathed his Mother to Jerusalem, St. Peter to Rome, St. John to Asia --- to whom will he have bequeathed Mary Magdalene?
We know already, it is France who received from the hands of God this part of the Testament of His Son."
Lacordaire, OP, Henri-Dominique. The Life of St. Mary Magdalene.
"Bethany is no more, but Jesus Christ has given to Magdalene the house she lost... Marseilles is the Jerusalem of this new Bethany, and France is the greater and more faithful Judea.
I say France; because it was she that inherited Provence, and with her St. Magdalene."
Lacordaire, OP, The Life of St. Mary Magdalene.
St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse guide us as the French Catholic Diaspora to Mystical France in union with Magdalene's heart. The Renaissance of Catholic and Royal France is in our hearts through obedience to the Catholic Church, to Mary Magdalene's contemplative mode of being, and to Joan and Thérèse's sisterly care.
Through the values we learn from Thérèse's plays and poetry about Joan of Arc, we accept Joan's mystical guidance with zeal.
“Her words put me on fire, inspiring in me a love for her that was, I believe, divine.”
Jean de Metz, Joan's companion.
